August 1 Parent Connection

Hello Kidventure Families!

I heard we had yet another AWESOME morning of Kidventure! Thanks to all those who volunteer their time and energy to invest in the children! Amy and I just returned from a vacation to Medora, ND. What a Kidventureblessing to have some time to be refreshed, but we’re glad to be back home with our Prairie Heights family. If it weren’t for the INCREDIBLE team of volunteers we would not be able to make Kidventure such an awesome place to be and learn more about God!! This last Sunday we talked about the importance of encouraging others and working together. I’m thankful that Prairie Heights is a great example of how people working together can truly make a difference in a community. Hebrews 10:25 reminds us to not forget to encourage one another and continue to meet together to worship God. Thanks for being an important part of the Prairie Heights family!

This Sunday August 8th we begin a NEW UNIT “On the Trail!” In our Elementary program (Kindergarten through 5th grade) we will begin a journey into the Wild West with Cookie, Tex, and a whole herd of cattle. Saddle up your horses and grab your favorite pair of boots as we go on an old fashioned cattle drive to learn lessons from the trail the Israelites left as they got out of Egypt! You WON”T want to miss this exciting adventure beginning this Sunday August 8th at 11:00am!!!

In preschool (ages 3-5) THIS SUNDAY we will continue our underwater adventures in our “To the Depths Jr.” unit. The preschool class will be held downstairs in Room 104 ONLY this Sunday August 8th and next Sunday August 15th. You won’t want to miss this underwater adventure!!

With fall on its way and the back to school shopping coming around the corner, we are working on gearing up for the fall in Kidventure. We are currently looking for those who would be willing to invest some time and energy into serving in Kidventure this fall. We have many opportunities to use your gifts and passions to serve God and his children through drama, tech equipment, playing instruments, leading small groups, greeting families, creating drama stage set pieces, and simply hanging out with children of all ages. If you’d be interested in finding out more information click here or go to our website at and click on the Serve button at the top of the homepage!

Enjoy the weekend and hope to see you on Sunday!!
