The preschoolers (3-5 years) joined the elementary kids for one last week! We got to sing with the live band, watch some movie clips, and even watch a skit. We had a lot of fun learning about persevering when times are tough, and never giving up. We learned all about the disciples, and how they faced persecution and many, many trials when they told others about Jesus. But, that didn’t stop them. They kept going, because they knew that God would take care of them, and that He would never leave them alone.
2 Chronicles 15:7 tells us, “But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded.”
Family Fun: Attention all parents! If you do not feel any excitement bubbling in your stomach, you should start to feel it right about now. Why? Because this Thursday, April 7th is National No Housework Day! It is completely alright if you screamed, applauded, or even cried with joy right after reading that (I had a little something in my eye). For those of you who doubt, it is entirely possible for this to happen. Do a little extra housework in the days leading up to Thursday and you just might find that day to be entirely free. Or, if that isn’t an option, you can always leave the work until Friday (I think I just heard hundreds of parents turning over in their graves). Even Mark Twain encourages it: “Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.” So, what are you going to do with all your spare time? Have family library time and read a book. Watch a movie together. Go out to eat. Eat at home and bring on the paper ware! Do a craft together. Whatever it is that you and your family enjoys doing, now is your time to do it! So, put down the laundry basket, leave the dishes in the sink, and go spend some time with the people that are way more important than housework.
See you Sunday!
