In Preschool (3-5 years), we talked about Jesus and His forgiveness. Did you know that there is no sin too big for God? I know this is something that is frequently said, but think about the real impact of it. This isn’t a free ticket to have a sinfest, and do whatever you want. Repentance from the heart requires change. But, this does mean that no matter what you’ve done, God can and will forgive you. Just look at the story of Peter, one of Jesus’ disciples. This man had a close relationship with Christ, experienced firsthand His miracles and teachings. But, when it came down to the hour when Jesus needed him most, Peter disowned him. He told multiple people that he had no idea who Jesus even was. Yet, when he realized the horrible thing he had done and he repented, Jesus still forgave him. He loved Peter a lot. In fact, there’s not a person in this world that God doesn’t love and doesn’t want to forgive. All we need to do is ask.
Family Fun: This Wednesday, March 2nd, is Dr. Seuss’s birthday! You know you’ve always wanted to try Green Eggs and Ham, and what better day to do it! For even more fun, have each family member pick out their favorite Dr. Seuss book and read it aloud to everyone. But, if you’re really up for a challenge, spend the whole day speaking in rhymes and Dr. Seuss terms (fizza-ma-wizza-ma-dill, anyone?). It’s sure to be a day full of laughter and fun!
