Early Childhood January 9

“Action!!” The preschoolers (3-5 years) took a trip behind the scenes to check out the movie set of Entourage Studios! We met a lot of unique people such as Movie Star, Agent, Assistant, and Prop Master. While Agent and Assistant both try to help Movie Star navigate her way around the movie set and stardom, they don’t always get it right. Prop Master, however, is the one who is always trying to teach Movie Star about Jesus. This week, Movie Star had a little trouble learning about worshiping Jesus. It’s easy to get caught up in selfishness and wanting people to always notice us or pay us special attention, and praise everything we do. But, we’re not supposed to worship ourselves or other people. We’re only supposed to worship Jesus. After all, He’s the one who gave us life and salvation. He deserves all the praise and worship we can offer.

Family Devotional Lesson1

The preschoolers are about to get their jingle on! Sunday, January 30th, all the preschoolers will be performing a bell choir song for the adults. Until then, they’re going to practice, practice, practice! Make sure your preschooler is at church every Sunday morning so they can do their best when they ring those bells for you!

Family Fun: Have you ever wished for a day where you could just do nothing? No work, no cleaning, but just relaxing and having some fun? Well, this next Sunday, January 16th is National Nothing Day. So, grab your family, throw on your comfiest clothes, put away the cooking and cleaning supplies, order in, and have some fun with your family doing “nothing.” Instead of spending that day working, why not color some pictures, play a favorite game, sing some songs, or watch a movie? Not only will you get some quality family time in, but you’ll also be obeying the 4th Commandment: the Sabbath is for worship and rest (Deuteronomy 5:12-15).
