October 10 Parent Connection

Dear Kidventure Families!

This week in our Elementary classes (K-5th grade), we learned all about faithfulness and how important it is to do what we say we will do.  It’s really easy to just say that we’ll do something.  However, if talking meant the same thing as faithfulness, we would have a lot more Nobel Prize winners.  Instead, true faithfulness comes through our actions.   Whether it’s choosing to do homework when we would rather watch T.V. or sticking up for a friend even when it means we’ll be bullied, faithfulness matters to God.   So, no matter how difficult it is, we should always choose to do what we say we will do!

In preschool (3-5 years) this week we continued our mission in “Ten Hut Jr.” as we learned the importance of sharing with others! Mardy, our friend from the Help Corp, showed us how David shared with Mephibosheth in 2 Samuel 9:1-13. The kids loved to color a picture of food and then have a picnic during class. We learned how things are better when we are all willing to share with each other. Join us again this week as we learn about thankfulness.

Parents, don’t forget you can view/download these devotionals to go further in depth with the lesson as a family:
