October 2 Parent Connection

Hey Kidventure Families!!!

What a GREAT Sunday with 159 kids checking into their classes to join us on our journey through “The Great Skybridge Showdown.” In elementary (K-5th grade) we learned to Praise God instead of ourselves. Proverbs 29:23 tells us that pride brings a person low, but the lowly in spirit gain honor. God has done great things for us, let’s praise him for those things instead of focusing on ourselves. In preschool (3-5 years) we learned that our God is POWERFUL! God protected Moses and the Israelites by parting the Red Sea so they could walk across dry land and we can also count on God’s protection in our life. You can use these actions to help your preschooler remember that our God is Powerful!

                            God Is                                                                                               Powerful

Ever wonder what happens in your child’s classroom? Parents, on Sunday October 23rd during both services we are inviting you to attend class with your 3-5 year old in preschool for the first 15 minutes. Instead of dropping them off that day, come on in and check it out! You’ll be released to go back to service after the first 15 minutes or you can feel free to hang out the entire class. Jason and Kelli, our preschool directors, are looking forward to an opportunity to meet you and have you as our guests in preschool!

Higher Hoops basketball camp is starting soon, Saturday October 22nd! Higher Hoops is a basketball camp for kids 1st through 5th grade on Saturdays from October 22nd to November 19th. Invite your friends, neighbors, and co-workers kids and join us! You can find a registration form here.

Don’t forget to check out the Family Devotionals and spend some time digging in deeper together:

Elementary Devotional (K-5th grade)

Preschool Devotional (3-5 years)

Thanks for making Kidventure a priority in your family and I can’t wait to see you all back next Sunday as we learn more about keeping God a priority in our lives!

See you Sunday!!!!
