Welcome Home

Prairie Heights HOME

PH HOME is expanding church out of the building and into your home. It is serving others by inviting them to authentic community while watching the Sunday message together.

Church is not a building. It can happen right in YOUR living room.

Do you live locally? Sign up and have your starter kit delivered to your door!

WHO DO I INVITE?

Start by inviting the people you’re already around. Who have you been sheltering-in place with? Your people. Your neighbors. The people you do life with.  Even if it is just one person!

HOW DO I WATCH?

Connect to the live stream Sundays at 9 and 11am through a computer or mobile device. The live stream link is available on the Prairie Heights website and on the PH app. If you have questions we are here to help!

DO I NEED TO PROVIDE FOOD?

Food isn’t necessary, but as the host, you run the show! Whether you want to provide drinks (please refrain from offering alcohol) or encourage others to bring snacks, it is totally up to you!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DO COMMUNION?

The bread and wine are symbolic of what Christ did for all of us. You can use other items to represent his body and blood – any food (bread, cracker, granola bar, really anything you can eat!) and any drink (water, pop(because #NorthDakota), juice, – again, please not alcohol).

WHAT DO WE DO WITH THE KIDS?

Every family is different and every child is different. We have some recommended strategies, but ultimately YOU are the expert!

Here are some recommendations:

Have kids join in for worship and singing and then head in to a different space to watch their message while the grown ups watch theirs together.

Take turns each week being with the kids! If you have 5 adults watching together each week; that’s 1x every 5 weeks that you spend some quality time with the kids! Each person does their part and the kids might really LOVE it!

There is incredible VALUE in children seeing their parents worship and make church a priority. Whatever that looks like in your HOME, don’t discredit your efforts to get filled up by the message and music. Children learn so much by the example you set for them!

“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
