Today’s generation is looking for someone to believe in them. They want to know that they matter. We ALL play an important role in encouraging the young people in our lives to be everything God has created them to be! Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” How have you encouraged the young people in your life today?
OXYGEN SUMMER CALENDAR:
Oxygen is our ministry for students in 6th through 12th grade that meets on Wednesday evenings. We began the 2010/2011 school year with 25 students and ended on May 11th with 50 students packing out our office space! God is doing some amazing things in the lives of our students. Drea (9th grade student) describes Oxygen as, “being at home.” It’s a great place for students to make friends and be encouraged by others who are facing the same issues in their lives. This summer we will meet twice a month with a movie night, bbq’s, and we will hit the road going to Vallefair and Raging Rivers Water Park in June! Check out the summer calendar for all the information. Look out September 2011…we expect to continue GROWING to nearly 100 students this next school year at the Ministry Center. If you know of any students who are not involved yet, please encourage them to check it out!
This Sunday we learn how to Maximize the time God gives us. Ephesians 5 teaches us that how we spend our time is important.
See you Sunday!
